It takes its name from the tower of Flumentorgiu, used by the Spaniards in the seventeenth century as a lookout station against the incursions of Saracen pirates.

From the headland you can admire a unique landscape, a beautiful bay to the south dominated by tall limestone cliffs, north sweep to the promontory of Punta S'Aschivoni getting lost in the beautiful beach of Is Arenas' and S'Acqua and S'Ollastru of a kilometer and a half, dominated by impressive sand dunes.

Torre dei Corsari offers various possibilities to enjoy the sea: a large beach, some very private coves and rocky areas, very rough paradise for lovers of fishing.

The beach of Is Arenas' and S'Acqua S'Ollastru is an immense golden beach about a kilometer and a half that gets lost in massive dunes, creating a landscape of breathtaking beauty in addition to the enormous size of the shoreline and allow easy too quiet seclusion when the beach is pretty crowded, that is during the weekends.

Develops partly hidden behind the beautiful dunes and partly sheltered by the cliffs, following the decline of the area, offering, from any corner at any time of day, unforgettable views and beautiful sunsets in the evening.

During the week you can enjoy a calm and silence, while the weekend is colored atmospheres typical of the middle campidano, the village comes alive, the villas are opened by the owners and the air is impregnated scents and fragrances from countless glowing embers.

That evening, after a magnificent day at the beach, you can find fun by going to the square Stella Maris, which are organized by alternating evenings live music, karaoke, group dances and film screenings.

Are a feature of all the Costa Verde, but only Piscinas, Scivu, Pistis and Torre dei Corsari have resulted in creating a truly unique phenomena Saharan environment.

There are also some bars, restaurants and pizzerias, two market supplied, a small shopping center with some seasonal shopping, and an ATM, the only of the coast, there is also the private security of the area and the shuttle service, seasonal to get to the beach.

How to get there

Torre dei Corsari can be reached from either North or South along the state road SS 131, and also can be reached by the resort and localities of Costa Verde.

Coming from the North along state road SS 131, leaving the state road to Marrubiu, is also possible an alternative route, much shorter, making the dam of Marceddì, the dam is not practicable but is commonly used.

Coming from the South along state road SS 131 out of the state road in Sanluri or coming from the South along state road SS 126, for example from Fluminimaggiore.
