Tunaria
Well known also as Tonnara di Flumentorgiu, in the last century it was a fishermen village that lived on fishing and tuna processing, from which it got the name. Later on it was abandoned due to its unproductivity.
The old houses and buildings have been restored and used for tourist purposes.
Facilities
Pharmacy and first aid station are at Torre dei Corsari (1 km far).
Renting a house is the only available tourist accommodation, you can get it by the owners or by local agencies, there are no other kind of tourist receptivity at all.
No facilities on the beach.
There is a slope to the sea for rubber dinghies and little boats as well as a mooring more or less at 100 mt far from the shore.
Advices
Sea
The sea of the Costa Verde is typical of the western of Sardinia, it is spectacular and wild, seldom calm, so formidable and sometimes hostile. It is evident that on days when the sea is more agitated and necessary care and caution.
Shopping
Tunaria doesn't have supermarkets, you can supply in Guspini and Terralba or in the closest village Sant'Antonio di Santadi (8 km far).
Water
Tunaria houses are well equipped with thousand litres tanks that guarantee undrinkable water's supply. It's suitable for cooking and washing only, so you must stock drinkable water free by sources in Marceddì, Terralba, Guspini or otherwise buying it.
Fuel supply
In the sea place of Portu Maga there are no refueling stations for fuel, the closest petrol stations are located in Terralba, San Nicolò d'Arcidano and Guspini.
