Portixeddu
It is a small seaside town situated along the village of St. Nicholas which stands at the southern end of the beach and along the country to Buggerru, in the beautiful coastal stretch of the Gulf of Lions, one of the most striking of all Sardinia.
Portixeddu lies at the foot of a slope next to a small cliff, which overlooks the hillside, with breathtaking views, the sea and clear blue sky and the long white beach.
The sea
The beach over two kilometers long, is cut by the Rio Mannu and is characterized by fine sand and clear, embraced by a thick pine forest where you can find shelter in the days of intense heat.
The seabed, almost exclusively sandy and in places very low, it's great with color indescribable, and the water, transparent and crystalline, with the complicity of the sun, creates beautiful reflections of light.

The Mistral wind is often the protagonist on this beach, making it ideal for surfers, who never miss a chance to make a date.
Facilities
Support services such as pharmacy and medical, are not present and the location closest to where to find them are Buggerru about 6 kilometers or Fluminimaggiore to about 9.5 kilometers.
The facilities for receiving tourists are few: There is a hotel and two restaurants, while there are hotels, farm holidays and restaurants nearby, you can rent for the period you want, private apartments through local agencies or directly from the owners.

In the sea place of Portixeddu there are no refueling stations for fuel, the closest petrol stations are located in Buggerru and Fluminimaggiore.
